During my group guided tour of Ireland, I experienced many amazing adventures from scone making with Frances to exploring the Cliffs of Moher to soaking up history in the monastery ruins of Glendalough. I fell in love with this beautiful country and loved every minute of my journey!

Visit Kilmainham Gaol and the Gardens of the Irish Museum of Modern Art
Gaol is prison in Gaelic; we explored this old jail house/courthouse. Then walked across the street to the Gardens of the Irish Museum of Modern Art.

Explore the Battery and Irish National Stud and Gardens
The Battery is in the harbour of Dun Laoghaire and offers beautiful sea views. We took a guided tour of the Irish National Stud and Gardens, learned about the care of the horses and visited the Fairy Garden.

Explore Limerick and Dine at Bunratty Castle
We took our time to explore Limerick before we headed to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park for an authentic royal feast complete with serving wenches, traditional foods and entertainment. And it was my birthday!!

See a Working Irish Sheep Farm & Free Time in Galway
We took a scone making class and saw a sheep herding demo. We even got to bottle feed baby sheep! Free time at Galway.

Scenic Drive along Wild Atlantic Way
We drove along the Wild Atlantic Way with a stop at the Cliffs of Moher and other scenic locations. After lunch at a small cottage restaurant, we visited the Kerry Bog Village Museum and tried a traditional Irish Coffee.

Wool Weaving, Carriage Rides and Castles
We saw a wool weaving demo at a local mill. The loom was an antique but ran beautifully. After a short drive, we arrived in Killarney and took a horse drawn carriage ride to Ross Castle in Killarney. We also visited St Mary’s Church of Ireland.

A Day in Blarney
We explored the Blarney Castle and Gardens. The climb to kiss the Blarney Stone is tough but the history told along the way was amazing! My photo of kissing the stone wasn't the most flattering, but I did it! We had lunch at a diverse, airy open market.

We took a guided tour of the House of Waterford Crystal where we saw the process of making the famous crystal creations. That evening, we enjoyed a private performance of folk music at John Meade’s Bar.

Historic Site and Traditional Dance
We explored the grounds at Glendalough Historic Site. While wandering among the ruins of the old monastery, we soaked up the history. Dinner that night was a show at Taylor’s Cabaret & Irish Night. Traditional Irish music, dancing and comedy were on stage.
