Having lived abroad for several years, I know the value of authentic connections with local people and experiential travel within a destination. I've carried that philosophy to "travel better for better travel" well into my professional field of travel consulting. I am a certified sustainable travel professional through the Global Sustainable Tourism Council and know that conscious travelers think about their impact on local communities. 

When travel is sustainable, people to people interactions contribute to the greatest form of wealth redistribution and help to promote environmental conservation to keep communities thriving. The beauty of travel shouldn't be homogeneous--too many people going to the same place, at the same time, to take the same picture but rather supporting local economies that welcome travel and tourism through social entrepreneurship. When you travel with me, your dollars go directly to the source. 

I focus on destinations I have personally traveled to and continue to support through trusted relationships with local guides and tour operators by hosting small group travel trips. From swimming with sea lion puppies in the Baja peninsula in Mexico to culture and cuisine exchanges in Ethiopia, I work together with my clients to plan highly personalized journeys to places with lesser-known sights that aren't overrun with tourists.
