That's why the slogan for our agency is "WE GO SO YOU KNOW." We want you to be able to rely on first-hand knowledge of a property rather than the carefully filtered, often misleading info that a resort wants you to see. An example of the importance of boots-on-the-ground knowledge? A few years ago, I was working with a group of 15 couples who were going to Negril. I just happened to have a trip planned to Jamaica, so while I was on the island, I visited the resort and discovered that it was very rundown. Fortunately, I found another resort in my clients' price range and proposed the change to the group. They agreed and were very pleased with the new results. They, in fact, still book trips with me today.
