I'm Katie MacQueen, the owner of Better Kate Than Never Adventures.  I'm a full-service travel advisor and I help busy people plan incredible vacations all over the world.  When you book with me, you're supporting a woman-owned and Veteran-owned small business.  I think travel, particularly foreign travel, is critical to understanding the world around us and where we fit into our global neighborhood.

I deployed with the Army to Iraq, and my whole world changed.  In fact, my whole world became the whole world.  I began to think of my deployment not as a chore but as an opportunity to experience a new land and a new culture.  I thought about that Golden Age of Travel, when transatlantic crossings, rail journeys, exploration, discovery, and adventure were part of the zeitgeist and the journey was as interesting as the destination.  Discovering tombs of pharaohs, summiting Everest, and solo flights around the world were on every radio, every newsreel, every front page, and we learned that people are people, no matter where you are.  People used to vacation to Baghdad- the Orient Express even ran through it!  Did you know you can still ride aboard the Orient Express?

I want the world to feel big enough to be amazing but small enough to be conquered.  I want to be your go-to for the logistics of your bucket list.  What's on there?  Easter Island? Pyramids? The Amazon?  I can get you there.
