Getting to know The Eternal City
Rome is a must see for all first-time visitors to Italy. Rome is the capital of Italy. There are over 4 million people living in the metro area of Rome with between 7 and 10 million international visitors each year! It is a busy place but can be seen in just a few days. The smallest country in the world, Vatican City, is located in the city of Rome. The best way to see Rome is by tours. We recommend the Hop On Hop Off tours for seeing most of the sites. You hop on the tour bus and can hop off at any of the stops the bus makes. This is a great way to see the tourist sites and get to know the city. For major attractions like the Colosseum, we recommend getting a Skip the Line ticket and joining a group tour. We are happy to set you up with one of these tours or secure a private tour depending on your needs and budget. Rome is full of great places to eat and many things to see. We believe it will hold a special place in your heart, just as it does ours.

The City of Lilies
Florence is the capital of Tuscany and boasts nearly one million residents in the metro area with 10 to 16 million visitors per year. The city center of Florence is small and can easily be walked. Florence is rich in art and history, with the Uffizi Gallery and Palazzo Pitti as major tourist draws. Take a stroll around town, enjoy a fresh gelato, walk across the Ponte Vecchio, and take in the sights, sounds, and smells of Florence. Florence is the perfect hopping off point if you want to see more of Tuscany. We recommend taking one of the many guided tours to some of the amazing medieval cities in Tuscany. We recommend taking one tour per day as the trips can be physically challenging, depending on the cities visited. For this itinerary, we recommend seeing Montepulciano, Sienna, San Gimignano, Montalcino, and Lucca. Pisa is an option as well. It is not our favorite attraction, but it may be yours. From Florence you can take the high-speed train to Bologna.

Home of the original Red Wedding
Perugia is the capital of Umbria and is a university town, hosting the University of Perugia (founded 1308). Perugia is well known for its chocolate (Baci Perugina), its rich history, and the stunning underground. We recommend staying in the city center so that you can fully enjoy everything this town has to offer. Visit the churches, the piazzas, the underground, and the shops. Snack on porchetta sandwiches, eat gelato, and drink sagrantino wine. Perugia is a city of indulgence and wonder. We like it just a bit if you can’t tell

Head to Fiumincino
Fiumincino is where the Rome airport is located. We recommend staying on the Tiber River front in the Hotel Tiber. Watch the fishing boats leave and return with fresh seafood. Enjoy fresh seafood at one of the many local restaurants, Have some wine, enjoy your last night in Italy, and say your goodbye to Italy.
