It’s a funny thing about spending the first 50 years of your life in the Navy (my dad served the first 20 years; I served the last 30). When my dad retired, he said he was perfectly happy spending his days at home. Me? I knew I had just tasted all the world had to show me and I wanted more!
Fortunately, I married a guy who felt the same way; together, we started T & D Travel Partners a few years after I retired.
We specialize in great escapes, awesome adventures, and romantic getaways.
Traveling is my passion. But it goes further than that: being in my 70’s (YIKES!), I see so many friends who just sit around waiting for that last curtain call. But Hunter Thompson said it best: “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!” I want to show others that every moment should be a celebration of life.
As a Vacation Architect with multiple travel certifications, I can assure you that I will provide exceptional service and will create amazing adventures that are as unique as you are! I am certified by the Travel Institute as a professional Travel Advisor and by Travel Leaders Network as a Certified Group Travel Specialist. I have completed training in all the major cruise lines, hold the CLIA Small Ships/Boutique certification, and am a certified Vacation Planner for Universal Studios and Disney. I’m also a Certified Special Needs Travel Advocate.
As an extension of my military background, I’m a multi-task wizard who’s very organized and obsessive about details. This means clients can relax and enjoy a stress-free journey, whether relaxing on an exotic island beach or zipping through an adrenaline-filled, breathtaking adventure.
My husband and I now live in St. Augustine, Florida. When we aren’t traveling, we are enjoying our four grown children and our absolutely amazing nine grandchildren.
There’s a saying “The world is so big, and I am so small.” Travel gives us a greater understanding of how small we really are within the scope of an immense world that’s full of cultures so unlike our own. It’s my honor to handle the planning, details, and execution of those life-affirming journeys for my clients.
Remember, life is short -- live it like you mean it!
